The main direction of the international activity of the department is the establishment of international relations with foreign higher educational institutions and organizations, the development of programs of academic mobility of students, cooperation with scientists and teachers of higher educational institutions in Europe, Asia, and America, active cooperation with partner organizations of FL and employers, informing employees and students about the possibilities of scholarship programs and receiving grants, preparing projects. Teachers and students of the department cooperate with partner universities and representative offices of international organizations, prepare project applications and establish partnerships at the international and national levels, actively participate in ERASMUS+ and other academic mobility programs. The countries that receive our students and employees are Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Poland, Latvia, Italy, Great Britain, Hungary. Students, graduate students, and lecturers have the opportunity to study and undergo internships, cooperate in international interdisciplinary projects with partner universities, teach in foreign educational institutions under exchange programs during vacations, participate in international conferences and congresses.
The department constantly encourages students and teachers to take part in the international events at the levels of University (International Staff Training Week) and Ukraine (for example, for the translation support of the meeting of the Identification Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for the Development of Science and Technology). It also implements international projects based on cooperation with foreign universities, for example: International interdisciplinary telecommunications project between the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of Igor Sikorsky KPI and the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of the Polytechnic University of Valencia “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” February-May 2020.
