Phd in Philology, Associate Professor at the Department of the English language theory and translation
In 2010 she graduated from the Faculties of Linguistics of the National
Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’. In 2019 she
successfully presented her PhD thesis “Compound term-nouns in English texts on electrical engineering: structural, semantic, functional and pragmatic aspects”.
Yuliia G. Karachun has been working at the Department of the English
language theory and translation since 2010.

Scientific interests:
Her professional and research interests lie in the area of stylistics,
lexicology, pragmatics of scientific and technical texts as well as terminological units. She has published more than 30 works, among them 2 monographs, three textbooks and two dictionaries. She has given talks at professional conferences not only in Ukraine, but also in Poland and Bulgaria. In 2020 she participated in the international internship course at Katowice School of Technology, Poland.
