Education:

Yuliia Baklazhenko studied at the Faculty of Linguistics of the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’. In 2011 received a Master’s degree in the specialty “Translation”. In 2015 successfully defended a thesis ‘Methodology of individualization of teaching professionally oriented English written speech to future system analysts.” By the decision of the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine received the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

Professional activity:

Yuliia Baklazhenko has worked at Igor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute since 2011 and has taught the disciplines “English as the Second Language”, “Translation from the English Language”, “Professionally Oriented English”, “Business English”, “English for Scientists”.

Since 2021 is a member of the Commission of Monitoring and Organization of the English Language Instruction in Igor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

Yuliia Viktorivna is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Access to Justice in Eastern Europe, indexed in the Web of Science, a member of the European Association of Scientific Editors (EASA), the Association of Ukrainian Editors and the Center for Eastern European Law.

In 2021 Yuliia Baklazhenko participated in the international internship course at the University of Białystok, Poland.

Research activities:

Yuliia Viktorivna is the author of more than 45 scientific and methodical works published both in Ukraine and abroad, including articles, abstracts, textbooks, methodical recommendations, etc. Yuliia Baklazhenko takes an active part in international and all-Ukrainian scientific-practical conferences, seminars, and trainings. Yulia Viktorivna’s research interests are connected, first of all, with the problems of individualization of the English language teaching for professional purposes. The main methodological developments of Yuliia Viktorivna include a textbook on English for professional purposes “Analytical Outlines” (co-authored with Kornieva Z.M.), guidelines for independent work of students and more.
