PhD in Philology, Associate Professor at the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of English
• In 2007 V. Marchenko graduated with honors from Kyiv National Linguistic University, Faculty of the English Language, and gained her master’s degree.
• In 2016 she defended her thesis for PhD degree in philology “Communicative and cognitive features of intonation functioning in English-language speech-and-music works: An experimental phonetic study”, supervised by Prof. Alla Kalyta.
• V. Marchenko has been working at the department since 2011.

Research interests:
V. Marchenko’s research interests include general linguistics, phonetics, pragmalinguistics, psychoenergetics, multimodality etc. Her scientific research has resulted in publication of more than 55 articles as well as conference abstracts. She has presented papers at more than 30 scientific conferences in Ukraine and abroad (Poland, Spain, Germany, France, Sweden).
