Resume:

     Aleksenko Vitaliia Fedorivna graduated from the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi State University in 1999 and obtained a complete higher education in the speciality “English Language and Literature”, and gained qualification of a philologist, a lecturer of English language and literature, a teacher of German.

From 2009 to 2013 she studied at graduate school of Kamyanets-Podilsky Ivan Ohiienko National University.

In 2013 she defended the dissertation on the theme”The concept of” nature “in the artistic system of English sentimentalism” in the specialty 10.01.04 – Literature of Foreign Countries and was awarded PhD Degree.

Teaching activities:

The main stages of pedagogical activity in higher educational institutions:

  • at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv:

– from 2002 to 2015 she worked as a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the Institute of International Relations;

– from March 2018 to June 2018 – Assistant Professor at the department of Theory and Practice of Translation from English at the Institute of Philology;

– from 2018 to 2019 – Assistant Professor at the Department of Language and Stylistics at the Institute of Journalism;

  • at the National Technical University of Ukraine ” Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute:

        – from September 2019 to August 2020 – Lecturer at the Department of Theory,                 Practice and English Translation of the Faculty of Linguistics;

        – since September 2020 she has been appointed a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of English of the Faculty of Linguistics.

Disciplines taught:

Practical translation course. Social sciences 1,2. (Bachelor’s level), 4th year of studing;

Translation in the sphere of diplomatic relations (Bachelor’s level), 4th year of studing;

Practical course of the second foreign language (Bachelor’s level), 2 nd year of studing.

Scientific work:

Research interests: Modern American literature, English literature of the 18th century,  language teaching, history of translation, theoretical and practical aspects of translation and interpretation.

Published 25 scientific papers in professional and foreign publications and those included in international scientometric databases and one foreign collective monograph.

Vitaliia Aleksenko is a member of the international organization TESOL.

Supervises term papers of 3rd and 4th year students and master’s theses.

Methodical work:

      20 teaching tools in English and three educational and methodical manuals were published.
