Olga Beskletna graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Faculty of Foreign Languages: Germanic Languages and Literature (including translation) in 1975.
She started her career as a lecturer of the chair of foreign languages at Lviv
Polytechnic National University and had been working there for thirteen years.
Since 1988 she has been working for KPI and stood at the origins of Linguistic Faculty in 1995.
During the period of her scientific and pedagogical activity she upgraded the skills at the universities of Lviv, Kyiv, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Edinburgh, Bristol; participated in the project “ TEMPUS-TACIS”.
Author and co-author of more than 60 scientific papers, number of teaching aids, a textbook “English for Business and Economics” (edited by Dominic O’Dwyer and Patric Hubbuck) is among them.


Participates in national and international conferences in the sphere of foreign language teaching, translators’ training, specialized activities at the faculty level.
Spheres of scientific and methodological interests include research in the area of oral and written translation, theory and practice of branch technical translation.


Supervises bachelors’ scientific and research works, course and diploma papers, trains students for scientific conferences.
Carriers out educational and teaching work as a students’ group curator.
Responsible for conducting the rector’s control testing.
