Nadia Prisyazhnyuk

Education:

Nadia Prisyazhnyuk graduated from the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (now it is the National Linguistic University) in 1972. She received  a Specialist’s degree with honors in the specialty  «English and French Languages» and gained a qualification of philologist. 

Professional activities:

Since 1992  Nadia Prisyazhnyuk has worked at the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of the English Language, Faculty of Linguistics of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. For about 15 years she was responsible for the pedagogical process at the Department of Theory, Practice and Translation of the English Language. She is one of those lecturers-enthusiasts who played a vital role in organizing the Linguistic   Faculty in the KPI in the remote 1995.   

For more than 25 years she has been teaching such disciplines as “The English Language” for students and postgraduates of the technical faculties as well as for students who studied to receive the second diploma at our faculty. Now Nadia Prisyazhnyuk teaches “The English Language (practical course, target language)”, directs research activities to under-graduate and graduate students, in particular she supervises research works of students who take part in scientific and practical  conferences.

For 11 years already she is the continuous inspirer and organizer of the students’ scientific and practical conference “ALMA MATER”.

Research activities:

Nadia Prisyazhnyuk is the author of a number of scientific works in specialised journals, approved by DAK of Ukraine, published both in Ukraine and abroad. Takes an active part in international, national and university scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and forums. The scope of her scientific interests includes research in the field of methods of teaching foreign languages and different aspects of translation.
